Step 1 of 7 - What type of home do you live in?
The type of home you live in will help us gauge the type of boiler you require, often we can recommend a boiler based on the size of the property, how much it has to heat and if it requires hot water on demand. It can also give us an indicator as to what might be involved if a boiler relocation is required.
We need to understand what floor you live on as to what sort of access we require to work on the flue at the property. Flue's on the second floor or below tend to be accessible via a ladder whereas flues on the third floor or higher would require a scaffold rig.
Knowing the number of bedrooms narrows down the estimated amount of heat output the boiler will likely require, the more details we have the better the estimate will be for the boiler required.
Boiler recommendations are based on the requirements of the user! If we know you have more than 1 bathroom at a property it will likely result in us recommending a boiler that can cope with the demand. There should also be a correlation between how many bathrooms are at the property and the size of the hot water tank (If there is one installed!)
Knowing if you have a hot water tank helps us identify the type of system installed at the property – It also allows us know if keeping it is a requirement!
The more radiators the bigger the heat output on the boiler required, Often we work on the basis that each radiator requires 1kw to 1.5kw of heat output, while a hot water tank requires 3kw.
